Your go-to reminders to release tension and trust your body 🌿

Pregnancy is a time of incredible transformation—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. As your body nurtures new life, your mind can be your greatest ally. One of the simplest and most powerful tools to support a calm, confident pregnancy and birth is using affirmations for relaxation and calm.

Affirmations for birth posters

These gentle, positive phrases help shape your mindset, release fear, and remind you of your body’s innate wisdom. Whether you’re practicing HypnoBirthing, preparing for labor, or just needing a moment of stillness in your day, here are five of my favorite affirmations to come back to again and again.

💬 1. “I am safe, my baby is safe, and we are surrounded by love.”

This affirmation grounds you in the present moment. It’s especially helpful if you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Repeating this gently reminds your nervous system that you are supported, held, and safe.

💬 2. “Each breath I take brings me closer to calm.”

Your breath is your anchor. Every inhale is an invitation to soften. Every exhale is a release. This affirmation pairs beautifully with slow, intentional breathing to ease tension and deepen your sense of peace.

💬 3. “My body was made to birth, it does it easily and well.”

Trust in your body’s natural intelligence. This powerful reminder can be especially comforting as you prepare for labor. Your body knows what to do. Your baby knows how to be born.

💬 4. “I put all fear aside as I prepare for the birth of my baby.”

Let this be a mantra for surrender. Fear is a normal part of the journey, but it doesn’t have to lead. Use this affirmation to gently let go of tension and move into a space of openness and trust.

💬 5. “I soften, I open, I allow.”

Birth is not a force to be controlled—it’s a process to be allowed. These three simple words capture the essence of a calm, intuitive birth experience. They’re also a beautiful cue to use in Pilates or movement work, helping your body stay relaxed and responsive.
